Teaching Across Virginia's Curriculum
At Home (or School)

"A natural born teacher looks confidently into the eyes of a child knowing in some
small way how to make a big difference in his learning."   ---S. Bisset

Many educators guide and enhance curriculum research and application using the Internet.  This site was developed as a collection point for educational resources, reviewed and implemented by K-12 classroom teachers, to find ways to bolster instruction and empower student explorations.  Assistance from the Internet strengthens project-based learning and offers a wealth of information, if selected wisely.  Students at every learning level need a clear understanding of how to cite information and interpret information validity.

As a fifth grade teacher at Cave Spring Elementary School in Roanoke County, I blend instructional methods supported by technology that gives the clearest message in the most time-efficient manner.  Additionally, my teaching strategies are derived from experience as an educational technology instructor with pre-service and in-service teachers at Radford University, School of Teacher Education and Leadership.

Thank you to Radford University and the technology-minded teachers that support this site through personal contributions and usage.  To get started, click on Teaching Links below to access the site resource lists.
