Mrs.
Bisset's Global Studies Class
Parent Information
Global Studies is designed so that all students will find success!
Please contact me if you have questions or concerns about your child's performance
Class work consists of hands-on skills in map interpreting, fish bowl discussions, and research projects
Case books should be in backpacks each night
Students are graded for organization of notes and information stored in their Global section, each nine weeks
Quizzes are always announced on note-taking day
Daily homework (reviewing notes) is automatically assigned if study guide notes and/or maps are filled out
Students are given the specific information that will be quizzed
Graded quizzes are generally not send home, but parents may request to see a quiz after school
If home or library Internet access is unavailable for assignment completion, class time will be given
Projects are conducted in class, unless a student falls behind
Textbooks are used for in-class information enhancement, never for quiz retention
Students may need index cards at home to create class note cards
Students are responsible for returning all signed papers the next school day, if requested by the teacher
Parents are encouraged to check student planners and this Website for updated information
Students are responsible for bringing assignment pads to the teacher, if signatures are requested by the parent
